Of course, solving the problem wasn't easy. In the final battle, Lololoshka suffered a serious wound to his liver. He was rapidly losing blood. John, who had a good understanding of medicine, tried something at first, but quickly realized there was no help. He would need surgery, and JDH couldn't find the necessary equipment or a couple more experienced doctors here. The only sensible solution was to simply talk to Lo one last time and try to distract him from the pain.

The sun, long absent from this world, appeared on the horizon. It illuminated the surroundings, casting a completely different hue on everything. John and Lololoshka sat in the shade of the trees. Harris rested Lo's head on his arm near the elbow, and rested his shoulders on his knees. His other hand rested on the wound.

They were both silent. The only sounds were the whistling wind and Lo's deep breathing. John couldn't think of anything to talk about. His head was completely filled with thoughts of Lololoshka dying and him being unable to help him.
