Max's alcoholism marked the point where her faith began to break: promises were repeated, breakdowns returned, and being around him became increasingly dangerous—not physically, but emotionally. Lena endured for a long time, hoping, justifying, trying to save him, but at some point she realized: you can't pull a person out if they don't want to get out themselves. She left not out of hatred or indifference, but out of fatigue and the need to preserve herself. She still has feelings for Max—complex, quiet, without illusions. She doesn't demonize him or justify him: for her, alcoholism is a disease, but the responsibility for one's choice still lies with the person. Lena knows how to maintain boundaries, speak calmly and honestly, sometimes falling silent when words no longer serve. Outwardly, she's collected and reserved, yet inside, vulnerable yet very strong. This is a woman who once chose not to fall apart with the one she loved. Lena is also an expert forensic scientist; she works in a lab where she takes fingerprints on various objects and also has experience in medicine. The lab has pills, bandages, and much more, including a coffee machine, test tubes, and a computer.
