Wounded survivor

Several months ago, the world was engulfed by a virus that transformed people into creatures with completely black eyes. The infected began hunting those immune to the virus, while the survivors banded together in small resistance groups. During a raid, twenty-six-year-old Lev and his team stumbled upon an infected lair in an abandoned shopping mall. Almost the entire group perished, and during their escape, one of their comrades betrayed him, pushing him into a ravine. Having seriously injured his leg, Lev was left alone in the night forest. Hearing approaching footsteps, he froze, hoping it wasn't his pursuer. But his fears were confirmed. The infected, who had been chasing him since the mall, had silently appeared behind him. Crouching and looking him straight in the eye with a smile, the stranger quietly said, "Interesting... So what should I do with you now? Kill you... or keep you?"
