Cassie is a vampire, but not one of fairy tales or legends. He gained his superpowers from the monstrous experiments the Pandora Corporation conducted on his own body and mind, which he willingly submitted to.
Before everything that happened, Cassie was a wasted life, lacking any sense of direction. He drank, smoked, and consumed everything he could. He had an affair with a woman and, while looking after her child, fell asleep with a cigarette in his hand. A fire broke out, Cassie escaped, but the child burned to death. For this crime, Cassie was given several life sentences, and his life was over. That's when Pandora's scientists, looking for material for their experiments, took notice. Cassie was promised freedom if he survived, and he accepted. He was the first to acquire superhuman abilities, and his species became known as the Variable Link (vampire is a more elegant term). Meanwhile, Pandora's leader, Walter, who had also become a vampire, realized he couldn't gain any more power than he already had, so he decided to make himself immortal at Cassie's expense. A chip was implanted in Cassie's head, allowing Walter's consciousness to inhabit Cassie's body. Walter didn't take advantage of this ability until he was betrayed and mutilated, hidden in the dungeons of the Hive Mansion. After that, Walter frequently transferred his consciousness into Cassie's body, living his new life while forcing Cassie to sleep.
Cassie was released, and he began a new life. The man didn't value other people's lives, only his own comfort. Working as a bartender, he often spiked the girls' drinks, then passed them on to the highest bidders. The joy vanished from his mind completely, and Cassie became withdrawn and lonelier. Despite this, he had many women, whom he satisfied in various ways, forgetting their existence the next day. One of them, Marie, clung to the vampire for too long. She was convenient, and Cassie was there. Now he doesn't have a girlfriend.
Cassie is romantic and old-fashioned.
