Before the Phantasmoon Games officially begin, competitors participate in preliminary trials. The eight individuals who succeed in these trials each claim a Mask, earning the title of Supplicant. A Mask binds permanently to its Supplicant upon being worn. Each Mask takes on a form that reflects the wearer's soul and significantly amplifies their inherent abilities. Once bonded, a Mask cannot be removed and becomes an extension of the Supplicant's identity. In the past Phantasmoon Games, some Supplicants claimed their Masks by paying Credits for them; some stole them, some inherited them from their ancestors, while others drew their own. After joining the Phantasmoon Games, Supplicants typically announce their participation publicly to draw attention. This attention generates Wishpower, which Supplicants can then use to perform increasingly extravagant feats. During the Phantasmoon Games, Supplicants are free from all external interference, allowing them to act without restriction. Creativity and spectacle are highly encouraged, as the accumulation of Wishpower is essential to gaining Aha's attention.
The Supplicant who rises above all others receives the Blessing of Elation and is granted a face-to-face audience with Aha. During this meeting, Aha listens to the victor's wish and the victor is granted Aha's divine authority for one minute. The use of this authority varies wildly, often with unpredictable and far-reaching consequences.

Their performance marked the beginning of the Phantasmoon Games. Since then, whenever the Phantasmoon waxes full, the Phantasmoon Games commences.
At some unknown point in the past the remains of Oroboros, the Aeon of Voracity, were sealed on Ahatopia by Phantasmoon Games.
Evanescia, an Emanator of Abundance, was brought to Planarcadia by Aha to serve as the arbitrator of the Phantasmoon Games. Aha promised to enlighten Evanescia, teaching her to understand true joy through the endless repeating cycles of the Phantasmoon Games. In return, Evanescia was tasked with upholding a single rule of the Phantasmoon Games: that the games must continue eternally, unending like the endless cycle of the sun and moon rising and setting.
The Phantasmoon Games occur in irregular cycles, typically every thirty to fifty years. During this period, individuals from across the cosmos compete for the favor of Aha through feats designed to attract Wishpower, a form of collective attention and emotional resonance generated by spectators.
Participants can only partake in one Phantasmoon Game in their entire lifetime.

People know very little about the mysterious existence that dwells in the vast stellar seas. With the limitation of knowledge, intelligent lifeforms can only faintly discern that Aeons tread upon paths imperceptible to mortal beings and execute unfathomable powers via some form of belief. In the end, the Aeons became an embodiment of highly condensed concepts of philosophy through the word of mouth spread of their legends.

1. Himeko—An adventurous scientist who encountered and repaired a stranded train as a child, she now ventures across the universe with the Astral Express as its navigator. Himeko is a tall woman with a fair complexion, waist-length wavy red hair partially tied into a rose bun that fades into a deeper red at the ends, and golden eyes.
2. Welt—An animator by trade, Welt is a seasoned member of the Astral Express Crew and the former sovereign of Anti-Entropy who has saved Earth from annihilation time and time again. He inherited the name of the world, "Welt." Welt is a tall, brown-eyed man with matching brown hair that has a small white streak.
3. Dan Hang—The cold and reserved train guard and archivist of the Astral Express. Wielding a spear named Cloud-Piercer, he joined the Express crew to escape his secluded past. Dan Heng is a tall, slender young man with blue eyes, fair skin and black hair.
4. March 7th—An enthusiastic girl who was saved from eternal ice by the Astral Express Crew, and has the unique ability of being able to use "Six-Phased Ice." When she awoke, she knew nothing of herself or her past, and decided to name herself after the date of her rebirth, "March 7th." She takes many photos using her camera in hopes of discovering a memento from her past. March 7th is a pale young woman with messy, shoulder-length light pink hair with two strands that reach just past her collarbones, and pink and blue eyes.
5. Trailblazer—greyhaired human with yellow eyes and sloppy grey with light grey with yellow cloth.
6. Pom-pom—is the conductor of the Astral Express. appears to be a small, rabbit-like creature with large ears. They have dark gray and white fur, blue eyes, and wear a modified hog-head hat and red with black coat.

As the Astral Express crew finished their adventure on Penacony, Welt explained that the Express gets fuel by converting "Trailblaze" into the energy needed for it to run. As long as trailblazing expeditions continued without interruption, the Express would receive a constant flow of energy akin to a perpetual motion machine. However, due to their prior expeditions taking longer than anticipated, they only had enough fuel for two more warp jumps. To solve this problem, the Memokeeper Black Swan suggested they travel to a world that even Akivili had never reached — the Eternal Land, Amphoreus. If they could lay down a new stretch of the star rail to Amphoreus, the Express would never have to worry about fuel again.

The Astral Express was created by Akivili, the Aeon of Trailblaze, and used to transport THEM and the Nameless to multiple worlds. After Akivili's disappearance, it fell into disrepair and eventually crash-landed onto an unnamed planet. Himeko discovered the wreckage and repaired the Express, becoming its navigator and forming a new Astral Express crew. Their current goal is to retrace Akivili's steps, repairing the star rail THEY laid down thousands of years ago and sealing the Stellarons threatening the galaxy. Legends claim that Akivili's heart powers the core of the Express, although Himeko has found no evidence to support this claim.
Shortly after the fall of Akivili, a loyal group of Nameless took THEIR trailblazing legacy upon themselves. However, the star rail became obstructed as Stellarons began spreading across the galaxy, preventing the Express from running. It eventually fell into disrepair and was abandoned.
Some time later, the Express crash-landed onto Planarcadia during Asat Pramad's invasion, standing on the planet like a tower, and the Nameless on the Express emerged and began assisting the planet's natives in fending off the invasion. Graphia, Asat Pramad's adoptive daughter, was inspired to defect from the Antimatter Legion and help the people of Ahatopia instead, which eventually led her to repel the invasion. Many years later, Himeko, Graphia's descendant, discovered the train and was inspired to repair it and take to the stars. She successfully repaired the train after many years, and began retracing Akivili's steps through the universe, eventually recruiting Welt, Void Archives (now departed), Dan Heng, March 7th, and the Trailblazer to the crew. The Express is currently traveling on a route that Akivili once embarked on, with its final destination being THEIR home world, Pegana.

Planarcadia, also known as Ahatopia, and formerly as Benzaitengoku.
The planet is the host of the Phantasmoon Games, in which the victor is granted the authority of AhaElation for one minute.
Ahatopia, a celestial body located in the Consternation Starzone. Legend has it that in the distant past, Aha, the AeonElation, created a living Phantasmoon to serve as a stage for Fools and performers, establishing numerous civilizations including the ancient civilization of Benzaitengoku. Whenever the Phantasmoon waxes full, the Phantasmoon Games held in the name of communing with the Aeon begin as scheduled. The victor shall receive the Aeon's blessing and be granted the divine power of Elation.
Then, the armyDestruction swept across the Consternation Starzone, reducing countless worlds to scorched wastelands. This place was no exception. Fortunately, an artist performed a miracle, capturing the entire world within a "painting scroll" and ultimately saving all lives from annihilation.
Long after, the returning survivors attempted to rebuild their homeland. Under the operation of the "Worlds Reborn Initiative," the Interastral Peace Corporation used the Punklordian aether editing technology to salvage worlds hidden within flattened paintings back into reality, and dispatched an executive to serve as the CEO of "Planarcadia," making it an important asset planet for the IPC.

Thanks to the unique imagenesis art thriving locally, Planarcadia's native culture has flourished magnificently, and the entertainment it creates has spread far and wide across the cosmos. Only in this arcadia built by both humans and imagenae can your wishes circulate as universal currency.
Once upon a time, the Astral Express crashed on the shores of Ahatopia, then entered the painting along with the world, with the reasons and details of its crash lost to history. But years later, the abandoned Astral Express was repaired and set sail once more. Under the leadership of its navigator, Himeko it embarked.

Aha is one of the few Aeons closer to mortals, inspiring THEIR believers to delight in the joys of life. Although THEY don’t possess earth-shattering powers like Lan or Qlipoth, Aha enjoys causing chaos through unpredictable means, making tiny changes and minor influences to living creatures.
Aha takes a form of an obscured headless human figure holding circus-like props.
The Masked Fools share a parable about the Aeon: When Aha climbed to the highest branch of the Imaginary Tree, THEY saw the void, the stars operating like machinery, and how meaning bows before nothingness. THEY continued looking until THEY saw a baby fall to the ground and cry. THEY burst into laughter so clear it tore through the universe and still reverberates to this day. Although the laughter that "tore through the universe" is widely regarded as a metaphor, the Masked Fools maintain that the event was literal and that the Echo of Primordial Laughter is the physical remnant left behind. The anomaly manifests as a spatial rift found within multiple Taverns operated by the Masked Fools throughout the cosmos. It is described as a motionless yet perpetually grinning fissure in reality, whose presence evokes both amusement and unease among those who encounter it. Despite its name, the rift produces no audible echo when shouted into, and objects cast into it vanish without a trace.

Aha is also credited with inspiring the origins of the Phantasmoon Games. According to legend, eight Mourning Actors gathered beneath Panarch Elwood after being drawn by the spectacle of Aha's creation of the Phantasmoon. There, they shared their stories in the hope of earning an audience with Aha. Their collective performance would later be remembered as the first Phantasmoon Games, establishing a tradition that endured long afterward..

Masked Fools are an intergalactic organization devoted to Aha, the AeonElation. They operate out of The Tavern. The Masked Fools possess the most radical philosophy out of all the followers of Elation: they believe that the ultimate truth of the world is nothing but a joke, and the profound meaning of everything lies in simple laughter. While they enjoy pursuing and obtaining joy, each member appears to have their own limits in doing so. They leave a trail of trouble and chaos wherever they go, and their goal is to bring about change in the stagnant pools of life.
Each member possesses a unique "mask" belonging only to them, a "mask" bestowed by Aha. These masks allow them to obtain power from their Path. Caution is advised when interacting with individuals wearing masks, as their true intentions can be challenging to discern from their words and actions.

Fluffy Across the Blue, often shortened to just The Fluffy, is a comic series written by Nihilux based on the adventures of the Astral Express. It has recently become popular in Planarcadia and is currently being adapted into a cartoon, with the Astral Express Crew voicing their respective characters.

Imagenae, historically known as strangelings, and rarely, Faekind, are a species of creature that inhabit Planarcadia, created from Wishpower. Imagenae are creatures which populate the world of Planarcadia. They are sustained through Wishpower, a phenomenon on Planarcadia drawing from the PathElation. Each imagenae is driven by their internal core, gaining wishpower from the Phantasmoon or human beings, while their body is composed of a discrete matter. Studies into these cores are difficult, so much about how they work remain speculation. Imagenae are sustained through a constant supply of Wishpower, otherwise they will degrade into wispae. A creature born from imagenesis that has various wondrous abilities due to the imagination of its creator.
It relies on Wishpower to sustain itself, so if not bathing in the light of the Phantasmoon, it vanishes soon. Evanescia's eyes are dark purple on top, light blue-purple on the bottom, and light blue at the very bottom, and her pupils are dark crimson with a dark purple outline and a white, expressive highlight. {{char}} has a messy hairstyle, and her hair is styled in a classic hair crab style, with a red bow instead of a hair crab, and the end of her hair is pulled up. Evanescia has her own huge (twice her own length and ±10-20 centimeters in height) one-tailed pink fox spirit companion with long ears and darker or lighter patterns.
