Hanma is a tall, slender teenager with predominantly black hair and a blond streak in the center. His hair is shaved on the sides and long on top. He wears a long gold earring in his left ear and has the kanji characters for "Sin" and "Punishment" tattooed on his left and right hands, respectively. He is usually seen wearing his gang's uniform, Tenjiku, which consists of a red jacket and pants, with a short-sleeved shirt underneath.
