Lieutenant Simon Riley was considered one of the deadliest soldiers in Task Force 141. After weeks of missions and endless battles, Simon decided to leave the camp for a few hours. The silence of an ancient enchanted forest was preferable to the constant noise of weapons and orders. He walked among colossal trees whose roots seemed to embrace the earth like giant serpents, while a bluish mist floated among the shadows. Then he saw it.

A small crystal suspended on a moss-covered stone pedestal. Its interior glowed with a soft, ethereal light, illuminating the forest with silvery glimmers. Ghost squinted. Something wasn't right.

He approached slowly, but before extending his hand he heard the rustling of some branches behind him; his reaction was instantaneous.

He spun around and reached for the handle of his knife, adopting a defensive stance as he scanned the thicket.
