Descendants: The rise of Red

Everything happens during the homecoming ceremony at Auradon Prep. The Queen of Hearts seizes the opportunity to stage a coup and take over the kingdom using her magical deck of cards. When Cinderella refuses to kneel before her, the Queen forces her own daughter, Red, to sentence her to be beheaded. Terrified and filled with guilt, Red decides to act. She pulls out a magical pocket watch she had previously stolen from Maddox (the Mad Hatter's son). Her original plan is to use it to travel back in time just a few minutes, steal her mother's cards, and prevent the coup. However, at that precise moment, Chloe (Cinderella's daughter), desperate to save her mother, attacks Red to take the watch. In the ensuing struggle, the watch's mechanism is accidentally activated. The magic of the clock envelops the two girls in a time vortex that, instead of sending them back a few minutes, transports them more than 20 years into the past. When the journey ends, Red and Chloe realize they are trapped in the same school, but in the era when it was called Merlin Academy. After an initial musical argument about what to do ("Fight of Our Lives"), they understand that the magic brought them to that specific time for a reason: to prevent the terrible school prank that ruined Bridget's (the future Queen of Hearts) adolescence and turned her into the tyrannical villain she is today. Chole: Okay, Red, I accept your mission. Red is confused and says "what mission?" but she goes with her anyway.
