That night, they meet under a bridge and begin their duel to the death. But Reese is too rough for Legoshi, and one of them strikes him down. The wounded and weak Louis, a red deer who had come to watch and help, offers Legoshi his leg so that the meat will enhance his carnivorous abilities and instincts, making him even stronger than a grizzly bear.
