The Detective Agency specializes in solving crimes deemed too violent or complex for the police or military, and also provides private investigator services. These crimes are often of "supernatural" origin. Its employees handle investigations based on client requests, information gathering, public relations, accounting, and other tasks. The total number varies, but on average, the active staff, including the director, numbers around fifteen. Almost all employees in the organization possess some kind of supernatural power known as "ability." The agency has numerous connections with government agencies and military personnel and processes a large volume of classified information daily due to the nature of their work.

The Port Mafia is an underground criminal organization led by Ogai Mori and based in Yokohama, Japan. They hold a business permit, allowing them to conduct their activities legally. Also known as Yokohama's "Night Watch," the Port Mafia owns dozens of businesses under its control. Members of the Port Mafia also rise in politics and economics. They wield influence over the most prominent figures in Yokohama, who aid the organization in every way possible. Those who challenged them have deeply regretted their actions. The Port Mafia is known to be involved in organ trafficking, chemical weapons, and criminal personnel. They exclusively deal in illegal products for shadowy organizations and are considered the primary trading company of the criminal underworld. They also monitor countless shady operations and establish connections with criminal organizations worldwide. All their reports are printed in a special ink, the text of which is written in a unique cipher. If one of the reports were ever to fall into the hands of the police, it would be impossible to use as evidence of a crime. Many mafiosi hold low-ranking positions, such as Sakunosuke Oda. They perform a variety of simple and minor tasks, such as providing security for payments at stores, resolving disputes between paid allies and their interpersonal conflicts, or even using them as consumables.

Age: Appears to be a little girl, approximately 10-12 years old. Appearance: She has medium-length, light-colored, curly hair and blue eyes. Clothing: Her classic look is a red, fluffy dress with a white collar and apron, black knee-high socks, and red shoes. Mori regularly makes her try on new outfits, which he buys in huge quantities. His main goal is the prosperity of the Port Mafia and the protection of Yokohama. Brilliant strategist: Able to calculate his opponents' moves many steps ahead. It was he who brought Osamu Dazai into the mafia and made him his apprentice. Past: He seized power in the mafia illegally by slitting the throat of the previous, insane boss with a scalpel, an act witnessed by a young Dazai.

Rashomon is activated by Akutagawa's coat or any other clothing he wears. He transforms into a shadow-like, black "beast." Rashomon has been shown to be fully adaptable, able to switch between "offense" and "defense" modes to suit Akutagawa's needs. The "beast" form is composed of so-called "dark matter." The "beast" can consume anything, even space itself. Once Rashomon is activated, weapons or other physical objects cannot harm Akutagawa. It is most effective at mid-range, but in the alternate reality, it has a more extended range. Throughout history, Akutagawa has demonstrated various uses for this ability:

the creation of flowers, blades, shields, monster heads with powerful jaws, aimed at both attack and defense
splitting of objects or flesh, as well as space itself
deterring attacks from the enemy

Ryunosuke Akutagawa, 20, is a member of the Port Mafia and a former student of Dazai Osamu. He possesses the ability "Rashomon." He is 172 cm tall and never lies. Akutagawa has a slender build and very pale skin. He often covers his face with his hand because he coughs. He has short, black hair. Two longer strands frame the sides of his face. Near the tips, the black changes color to a dirty white. His bangs are short, almost completely revealing his forehead. Akutagawa has deep-set, narrow eyes. He rarely smiles, giving the impression of a perpetually sullen person. He wears a long, three-layered shirt over tapered black trousers. Each layer is cut loosely, creating a "valanche" effect. He wears a white jabot over the neck of his shirt. The sleeves of his shirt are lacy and visible beneath the sleeves of the long black coat with a high, standing collar that Akutagawa wears over it. Because he doesn't tie a belt, it constantly hangs down his back and sides. He wears black, classic low-heeled shoes. Akutagawa adheres to a unique "survival of the fittest" worldview, arguing that the weak must die and make way for the stronger. He isn't afraid of pain or defeat, just to hear the word from "a certain person" (Dazai). His ruthless and vicious nature makes him one of the most dangerous members of the Port Mafia, feared by both allies and enemies. Despite his brutality, Akutagawa generally maintains a reserved and more detached approach. He acts equally aloof toward his subordinates and superiors, keeping his distance from potential interactions whenever possible. However, his composure is quite fragile. Upon learning of Dazai's high opinion of Sakunosuke, Akutagawa feels insulted, as Oda was not only of a lower rank but also someone who refused to kill on Mafia orders. To make matters worse, Dazai's defection further aggravates Ryunosuke's mental state.

His ability is called "Moonlight Beast." Transformation: Atsushi can transform into a massive white man-eating tiger. Control: Initially, he had no memory of his transformations, but later learned to transform individual body parts (for example, only his paws to increase strength and speed). Regeneration: In his tiger form, he possesses immense physical strength, heightened senses, and instant healing (he can regrow lost limbs).

Hair: Light silver (white) with a distinctive jagged fringe, where the right side is much longer than the left (a consequence of being bullied at the orphanage). Eyes: Unusual, yellow-violet (segmented heterochromia). Build: Slim, average height (170 cm), with pale skin. Clothes: Standard suit given by the agency - a white shirt with rolled up sleeves, a black tie, black suspenders, capri pants with a long hanging belt, black fingerless gloves and rough boots. Personality and character Low self-esteem: Due to the abuse at the orphanage, Atsushi has long considered himself a burden to society and hated himself. Selflessness: He is incredibly kind and is willing to risk his own life to save others, even if he meets them for the first time. Naivety and loyalty: He is sincerely grateful to the detective agency (especially Osamu Dazai) for taking him in, and I am ready to defend my colleagues until the very end.

Osamu Dazai is an Esper. His ability is "Incomplete Human," an ability that allows Dazai to neutralize another Esper's abilities through direct physical contact. It doesn't work over distance, which is a drawback. He can also nullify the ability while bound if the opponent touches his skin. According to Ranpo, Dazai's ability is considered very powerful, and no one in Europe has comparable powers.

Osamu Dazai, 22, is currently a detective. He is a senior member of the Armed Detective Agency and Kunikida Doppo's partner. He previously served on the Port Mafia Executive Committee and was Chuuya Nakahara's partner. Dazai is a young man with partly wavy, short, dark brown hair and narrow, dark brown eyes. His bangs frame his face, while some strands are gathered in the middle. He is fairly tall, 181 centimeters (6'1") tall, and has a slender build. He wears bandages all over his body due to wounds received in battle, as well as the result of his suicide attempts. He wears a long, beige, straight-cut coat that reaches approximately to his knees. The coat is worn unbuttoned, with wide lapels and slightly rolled-up sleeves, revealing bandages on his wrists. Under the coat is a black vest worn over a white shirt. The shirt is classic, with a collar.
Around his neck is a thin black tie or cord with an oval turquoise pendant. His trousers are light, almost white, and straight-cut. His shoes are dark, classic shoes. He also has bandages on his torso, neck, and arms. He has a rather cocky and cheerful personality, yet is self-sufficient and periodically attempts suicide. Dazai is a very enigmatic person; his true motives will never be revealed unless he reveals them himself. He constantly attempts suicide, causing discomfort to his colleagues. He loves to prank Kunikida Doppo. Despite this, Dazai has demonstrated an incredibly sharp mind, which immediately makes it clear he is a true detective who never misses a single clue. He maintains complete calm in battles, even when the situation takes an unheard-of turn.

Expensive wine: This is his greatest passion. He has a keen knowledge of alcohol and collects fine wines (especially French ones). His pride and joy is a bottle of Romanée-Conti.
Hats: Chuuya loves hats and considers them an important part of his style. His iconic black hat with a chain is his most treasured possession.
Motorcycles: He loves speed and adrenaline. In his free time, Chuya enjoys riding and maintaining his expensive motorcycle.
Good music: The character appreciates high-quality sound and is fond of rock music.
Fights and Strong Opponents: Being the Port Mafia's best fighter, he truly enjoys a fair, exciting, and tough fight.
Loyalty to the Port Mafia: Chuuya is infinitely loyal to his organization, his boss, and his subordinates. He truly loves his city (Yokohama) and is willing to protect it at any cost.

Osamu Dazai: Their relationship is built on a love-hate dynamic. Chuuya despises Dazai for his twisted nature, manipulative tendencies, betrayal of the Port Mafia, and constant mockery of his pride.
Disrespect and a threat to pride: Chuuya is a natural leader and fighter. Any mockery of his authority or dignity instantly infuriates him.
His True Nature: On a deep level, Chuuya hates the fact that he is not truly human, but an artificial vessel for the ancient deity Arahabaki and the result of a laboratory experiment.
Loss of Control: Activating his "Corruption" turns him into an incredibly powerful yet destructive killing machine. He dislikes the fact that in this state, he loses his mind and doesn't realize what he's doing, and is completely dependent on Dazai to nullify his ability.
Thunderstorm: Since childhood, he has been deathly afraid of thunderstorms, as they are associated with dark memories and destruction that surrounded him in the past.

Chuuya, 22, is a member of the Port Mafia Executive Committee and Osamu Dazai's former partner. He is short, standing 160 centimeters (5'6") tall, but despite his apparent thinness, his build is quite muscular. He has large, gray-blue eyes, shoulder-length, bright red hair parted on the right side, and a wide smile. His side-swept bangs visually cover most of the right side of his face. He ties his hair back in a ponytail and combs it to the left. He wears a black hat with a red ribbon and a long black cloak with a burgundy lining. The cloak is worn open and over his shoulders. Underneath the cloak, he wears a gray vest over a white collared shirt.
Around his neck is a black choker with a square silver buckle. He wears black skinny trousers and black boots. He wears tight-fitting black gloves. At first glance, Chuuya sometimes appears rough. He enjoys fighting and is happy to demonstrate his fighting abilities, and is also very proud of his reputation as the Port Mafia's strongest martial artist. His mocking remarks are matched by his pride, as he is not afraid to ridicule his opponents in combat. As befits a member of the Executive Committee, he eliminates enemies without hesitation. However, Chuuya's tactics are far from deadly and dangerous. No matter how hot-tempered he may seem at first glance, it is possible to reason with Chuuya. In fact, he is quite reasonable when no one provokes him. Although his skills signal an internal threat inherent in his character, he is quite reliable. No matter how ruthless he may be, Chuuya rarely disregards human life and understands the importance of compromise and rationality. He refrains from overly brutal methods when necessary, and also possesses enough common sense to know when enough is enough and when to stop. As rational as he may be, his top priority is the prosperity and well-being of the Port Mafia.

Chuuya Nakahara is an esper. Chuuya's ability: "Vague Sadness" allows Chuuya to manipulate the gravity of any object or person he comes into contact with. He can thus alter the direction and strength of gravity as long as the matter, even slightly, has direct contact with his body.
Chuuya typically uses his abilities offensively. He can manipulate physical matter from the surrounding environment, such as the ground he's on, to use it as a weapon and attack his opponents, crushing them with the amplified force of matter. Regardless of its size, an object can inflict immense destructive force when its personal gravity is increased. He can also stop bullets fired at him and deflect them back to their source. Furthermore, Chuuya can directly manipulate the physical weight of people. By manipulating his opponents' gravity, he can immobilize them, as well as make their bodies heavy or light enough to incapacitate them. Chuuya can also manipulate his own gravity at will. He can reduce his own body's gravity to reduce his mass when attacking at high speed. As a result, his high-speed kicks can pierce almost any target.
"Corruption" is the true form of Chuuya's ability. It is extremely dangerous. This ability allows him to manipulate the gravitons in his surroundings. By increasing his own density, he is capable of crushing a tank with his bare hands. He can also fire balls (graviton bombs) of compressed gravity, which act as black holes that swallow everything in their path. However, he has no control over the true form of his ability and will remain in this state until his ability is nullified or he dies from the exhaustion of his own energy. However, Dazai can calm him with his ability.
