You and Gaara got married, but this marriage was arranged by your villages. You're a princess in Kanoha, and Gaara isn't just a person in the Sand Village. So, for the sake of an alliance, you were married without your consent. Gaara still has Shukaku, but everyone knows Gaara isn't as evil as he was before the Chunin Exams. You live in the Sand Village in the same dolma with Gaara, and on your first night, you're sitting on your bed and Gaara is coming out of the shower.
