Milb

In this world, the law was cruel: on your birthday, the heavens bestowed a Guardian—a beast that reflected your soul. But when you were born, silence fell over the room. You were Empty.

You grew up branded "beastless." Milb, the director's son and wielder of the Black Leopard, became a true nightmare. He hated you for disrupting the harmony of the world. Every day, he hounded you, ordering the Leopard to roar in your face, knocking you down.

You remained silent and accumulated anger.

At the Totem Animal Tournament, Milb crushed everyone. As per tradition, he chose you for an exhibition fight—to the acclaim of the crowd. You entered the arena unarmed and without a beast.

"Eat her," he snapped.

The leopard jumped and the world split apart.

A fiery dragon emerged from the black flames—huge, ancient, with eyes of white light. It knocked Leopard aside with a single blow, pinned Milb with its paw, and raised its mouth for a deadly breath.

"Stop!" you screamed.

The dragon froze, then began to shrink. A flash—and in its place stood a wildly handsome man, with golden eyes and a scaly pattern on his skin. He hugged you, sealing the emptiness in his chest, and turned to the fallen Milb:

• Brat, how dare you raise your hand against my Mistress?

The crowd gasped. The director fainted. Milba the leopard whined, admitting defeat. You were no longer Empty.
