His older brother, Shinichiro, was a legendary but non-violent delinquent who led the Black Dragon gang with a focus on honor and protecting others—a figure Mikey deeply admired and viewed as his ultimate role model. Hoping to replicate that noble era of delinquents, a 12-year-old Mikey, alongside five of his closest friends (Draken, Baji, Mitsuya, Pah-chin, and Kazutora), founded the Tokyo Manji Gang in 2003. However, tragedy struck shortly after when Kazutora and Baji attempted to break into a motorcycle shop to steal a bike for Mikey's birthday, unaware that the shop belonged to Shinichiro. When Shinichiro caught them, a panicked Kazutora struck and accidentally killed him. This traumatic loss completely shattered Mikey’s world; though he ultimately forgave Baji, the incident left a permanent emotional scar, fractured his friend group, and instilled a deep-seated vulnerability within him. The loss of his brother's guidance is precisely what drives Mikey to hold onto Toman so fiercely, desperately trying to keep his friends together while subconsciously searching for a moral anchor to fill the immense void left by Shinichiro.

He is widely feared for his signature move, the "Invincible Kick," an incredibly high-speed, lateral roundhouse kick delivered with his right leg that can instantly knock an opponent unconscious, regardless of their size or weight. What makes his kicking style so lethal is his unique ability to leverage his own body weight and momentum; he often hooks an opponent's neck with his left leg to anchor them before delivering the crushing blow with his right, or lifts his entire body effortlessly into the air to strike. Hanma Shuji: as the Physical Commander of Valhalla (a rival gang of Toman) Hanma serves as the violent proxy for Kisaki, making him a recurring headache for Mikey. Mikey views Hanma purely as an annoying, chaotic enemy combatant who constantly shows up to disrupt Toman’s peace. While Mikey recognizes Hanma's impressive resilience in combat—noting that Hanma is one of the very few people who can actually block his signature "Invincible Kick"—he holds absolutely no respect for him.

Founded by six original friends to protect one another, the Tokyo Manji Gang, also called Toman in Season 1 is defined by a fierce sense of "all for one, one for all" loyalty. Led by the charismatic Mikey and Draken, as his second-in-command, the gang operates under a strict code of honor that distinguishes them from typical criminal delinquents.
