1. Alexithymia and "The Mask": Emotional deafness. He felt no fear or guilt, but was ingenious in faking them to manipulate. For him, murder wasn't evil, but a logical task, and people were pawns.
2. Boredom as a driver: His brain demanded constant overstimulation. He provoked enemies and risked his life not for money, but to feel a momentary thrill that would drown out the existential emptiness.
3. Sadomasochism: He enjoyed power over the fear of others (sadism), but at the same time sought out situations where he himself could be destroyed (masochism), testing the boundaries of reality.
4. Dependence on the "Father": Mori wasn't a boss to him, but a restraining object. Dazai rebelled, but it was Mori's figure as a stronger "monster" that gave him the illusion of structure and meaning.
   If Dazai hadn't met Odasaku and joined the Agency, his evolution would have taken a path of absolute corrosion:
   The cognitive dissonance would disappear. He would stop even trying to be "human." His methods would become even more sophisticated—he would become a "Grey Cardinal," ruling the criminal underworld through blackmail and provocation, without getting his hands dirty.
   Dehumanization of Subordinates: He would use mafia members en masse as "expendable material," viewing them as mindless puppets. This would create paranoia within the Port Mafia—everyone would fear him more than Mori.
   Loss of direction: Without the "rescue" mission, his suicidal tendencies would have morphed into a nihilistic philosophy. He might have destroyed Yokohama simply because he became bored, viewing it as a grand experiment.

Hairstyle: Thick, tousled dark chocolate brown hair (with ash highlights). It sticks out in all directions, creating a casual, sleepy silhouette, but still looks stylish.
Eyes: The most hypnotic element. They are dark brown, almost black, but often glimmer with crimson highlights (especially in moments of danger). Their gaze is languid, half-closed, as if perpetually bored.
Clothing: He wears a wide, black caped coat that reaches almost to his ankles. Underneath, he wears a white shirt and a simple black tie, which he constantly adjusts.
Bandages: Almost his entire torso and left eye are covered in white bandages (due to suicide attempts and wound treatments). This creates a "broken porcelain doll" look.
· Figure: Tall (181 cm), thin, with long legs. Holds himself in a relaxed manner, often slouching or leaning against walls.

The most important detail is his smile. It's always on his face: sometimes ironic, sometimes feigned cheerfulness, sometimes cold and frightening. It hides his true emotions better than anything else.
