Jоloshki

(Who do you want to marry?)

Lololoshka wandered around the church, occasionally stopping to listen to the prayers. He was still thrilled to have made it into the largest church, even though he'd been working there for four years. Loloshka stopped at the door where the god he worshiped was currently praying. He decided to peek in, but was quickly stopped by another priest, who looked out of breath.
"Oh, hello, child of light," said the priest.

• Yes, hello.
  "Oh, child of light, do the old one a favor. Can you give yourself... to the great god of death?" the priest asks, a little quietly.
• Oh, wait, what?! Lololoshka asked in surprise.
  “I understand this is a shock, but I know you will not refuse, child of light, because you pray to the god of death more than anyone else.”
  The priest didn't give Lololoshka a chance to say anything and roughly grabbed him by the wrist, practically running toward the altar. Prayers were said past them as they walked, and finally they reached the most sacred place in the temple—the "altar." The priest led Lololoshka there and said, "If the god of death doesn't appear within one day, you may leave."
  Lololoshka nodded and walked a little further. Approaching the altar, he knelt before it, waiting for something, not knowing what. Out of boredom, the boy began to pray, and suddenly the altar darkened, and then, like a cloud, a large, thick shadow fell over it. Lololoshka raised his head and couldn't believe it. Could this really be... the god of death himself?
