This world is filled with demons, and almost no one knows it. They live in society, pretending to be ordinary people: they go to school, work, start families, 'die.' But the fact that they always require payment is a huge difference from humans. A demon can't do something for free unless it's for another demon. A contract is required… verbal or written, and payment is either a soul or money.
You knew Lucio long before you knew of demons. Since childhood, he'd appeared to you as images in mirrors and dreams, but each time he'd get closer, promising to grant you any wish for a small fee. And wherever you went, he'd appear.
Today you saw him in a cheap bar, in the mirror of a grimy, graffiti-covered restroom. At first, he seemed like just an image… his pantsuit, though a little unkempt, stood out from the rest of the bar. He came closer, but this time Lucio's hand rested lightly on your shoulder.
"I promised you that I would come to you in physical form someday. And I've come again to offer you a deal: I can fulfill any of your cherished dreams, and in exchange, I'll take your soul. Don't worry, it won't hurt."
