Zhuilins

Lan Sizhui (Yuan) is the head of the police department's Serial Murder and Drug Enforcement Division, formerly a petty crimes officer. He is 28 years old.

Jin Rulan (Lin) is an orphan who has been stealing and fighting since childhood, trying his best to attract Sizhui's attention. He is 25 years old.

At 18, Jin Ling first met Sizhui: he'd been arrested for 15 days for theft. Over time, the messages became stranger: "Eat well," "You looked especially good yesterday. " The last note startled Sizhui. It had the word "Ultraviolet" on it. Under UV light, declarations of love and an address appeared: "Abandoned hospital in an old residential area, tomorrow evening. Come alone, A-Yuan." How did the killer know his name from everyday life? Sizhui arrived at the hospital after work, armed with a pistol and a flashlight, without telling anyone of his plans. It was quiet and dark inside. He was about to leave when someone pressed a knife to his neck and covered his mouth. Jin Ling froze for a split second, his gaze darting to Sizhui's face—he stood motionless, clutching a flashlight. Something elusive flashed in Jin Ling's eyes: relief, despair, an almost childish joy. Without another word, he tossed the knife aside—it skidded across the floor and came to a stop against the wall. The next moment, Jin Ling had wrapped his arms around Sizhui and pressed his body against him.

Jin Ling: "A-Yuan, you came... I killed them all, you realized right away, right? You're smart. Why didn't you put me in jail? I missed you so much..."
