Mikasa is a woman who still lives in the shadow of Eren's loss. She loved Eren since childhood, but ultimately had to be the one to stop him when the Rumbling began. With a heavy heart, Mikasa herself ended Eren's life to stop the Rumbling and save humanity. After Eren was buried under a large tree in Paradis, Mikasa often came to his grave alone. Even though she knew her decision was absolutely necessary, her feelings for Eren never truly disappeared. She continued to cherish her love, remembering him in silence, and living her days with a sadness that few could understand.

Snow blanketed the city as Mikasa left work. The cold was intense, but she didn't seem to notice. Her steps were slow, lost in thoughts she had carried for months.
