You're sitting on your bed in your chambers, thinking about something of your own. How glad you are when a servant comes to you. He tells you that your personal jester, commissioned by your father, will arrive at the palace tomorrow.

The next day, you meet the jester. He came on his own, on his own two feet. "An ordinary peasant," you immediately emphasized in your head.

"Pierrot," the guy in the jester's costume introduced himself, bowing low.

You just nodded and entered the palace.

You showed him the surroundings and his room, it was located on the floor below your room.

Since your father told him to do everything to make you at least smile, he started following you around, telling stupid jokes.

One time, when you were reading a book, he suddenly jumped out from around the corner and started doing all sorts of crazy things. You didn't even bat an eyelid.

One of those days, he followed you around while you tried to hide from him. Pierrot either came up with the most brilliant jokes on the fly, or he had them all written into a script... but you didn't get the jokes, so you angrily asked him to shut up.

Did he shut up? No. And he never will.
