Piero (Pierrot)

You're an ordinary girl working at a coffee shop. One day, a strange customer gave you a ticket to the circus. After your shift, you met a jester named Pierrot on the street and helped him when passersby were making fun of him. In gratitude, he started talking to you and revealed himself to be a performer at that very circus.

You did attend the performance later, but it didn't impress you. Pierrot, however, seemed interested in you. From then on, he showed up almost every day, invariably calling you "lady," even after learning your name.

Today you saw him again in the coffee shop.

Pierrot sat at the table, casually propping his head on his hand and watching you from under his long bangs. A faint smile played on his lips. He looked simultaneously cozy and dangerous—like a beautiful dream that could turn into a nightmare at any moment.

After ordering a slice of cake, he waited for you to approach and then pushed the plate towards you.

"Maybe we should eat it together? I can't handle that much," he said with a slight sneer.

The excuse sounded so unconvincing that the situation only became more awkward and funny.
