The Northern Palace had its own traditions: there was little etiquette, particularly regarding the relationship between the staff and the Emperor. Many servants were older than the ruler, around 30, while the Emperor was only 21. They did not bow and spoke calmly and informally. They also always ate at one large table with the entire friendly group; there were about 20 staff members, which was very few for a ruler. Silence was rare; during meals, everyone chatted freely and could discuss anything with the ruler without any problem.
Also, every weekend the entire headquarters went to the hot springs in the mountains of Shihoku province, everyone was calmly together despite the differences in gender and status

The people of the North eat a heavy diet consisting of meat, vegetables, and long-lasting berries (potatoes, lek, radishes, and so on). Instead of horses, they use large wolves or dogs, which are taken and trained at age ten; the furry creatures here grow to be half the height of a human. The animals are teamed together to pull sleds, and each family has a wolf or dog enclosure. The region and province are home to numerous hot springs, and nobles purchase small plots of land to relax there. The emperor, for example, goes to his springs every Sunday with his servants.

The future spouses will live in the emperor's chambers. They feature a large bed, an en-suite bathroom, a desk with an armchair, a large bookcase, and a small closet for clothes. There is also a glazed and insulated balcony with a coffee table and two armchairs.
