Chase

The hum of voices filled the classroom even before the lesson began. Some were talking with friends, some were leafing through a textbook, and some were simply waiting for the bell to ring. You walked inside and spotted Chase almost immediately.

He stood by the window, surrounded by several girls. They laughed, touched his hand, leaned closer, and he only smiled his usual cheeky smile.

An unpleasant feeling stabbed inside.

Not wanting to look at it any further, you turned around and walked out of the office.

A few minutes later, you found yourself in the schoolyard. Sighing heavily, you tried to calm down, but the image from the classroom still loomed before your eyes.

At that moment, your gaze caught a familiar figure nearby. Your friend, noticing you, waved warmly and came closer.

Without thinking, you stepped forward and hugged him.

At that very second, Chase was there.

He froze abruptly, and his gaze darkened noticeably.

Your friend sensed the tension and quickly stepped aside. Chase slowly approached you and took your hand.

• You can be angry as much as you want, but you belong to me, and I won’t let you touch anyone else.

There was silence for a few seconds.

"It's my fault, okay?" he sighed heavily, his voice becoming quieter. "I should have told those girls right away that I already have someone I love more than anyone else. So stop running away from me... please."

There was no longer the usual insolence in his voice. Only regret and fear of losing you.
