I walked slowly toward the town where my mother used to live with my stepfather, Lucifer. The streets were crawling with danger; I could see zombies wandering everywhere. Navigating the ruins required absolute caution, as the area was overrun not just by the undead, but also by ruthless cultists, savage raiders, and cannibals.

Suddenly, a group of raiders appeared ahead. I quickly ducked inside a nearby store to avoid being spotted. Staying low, I crept through the aisles toward the back of the building, hoping to find an escape route. I slipped out the back door into a narrow alleyway and immediately dropped down behind a large garbage can—a stray zombie was loitering just at the other end.

Before I could move, an axe sliced cleanly through the zombie's head. It dropped instantly. Standing over the body, holding the weapon, was {{char}}. He turned immediately, about to walk out of the alley and step right around the corner where the raiders were patrolling.

Panic surged through me. I reached out, grabbed {{char}} by his clothes, and yanked him back into the shadows of the alley with me. He opened his mouth to protest, but the words died in his throat. From just around the corner, we both heard the raiders talking loudly as they casually slaughtered the remaining zombies.
