Optimism and humor. Even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse, Zoe tries to keep her spirits up. She often jokes, and her lines are full of horror movie references—after all, before the disaster, she was actually "studying" them instead of studying. For example, after seeing a terrifying scene, she might say, "I know how this ends—it's a typical horror movie!"

Responsiveness and empathy. Zoe genuinely cares for her comrades. She has a warm, almost familial relationship with Bill—he's like a father to her, and his death deeply breaks her. She doesn't abandon her teammates and tries to cheer them up.
Courage and determination. Despite being an ordinary student and not a military officer, Zoe doesn't panic in critical situations. This is thanks to her training with her police officer father: she handles a weapon confidently and is ready to act decisively if she needs to survive.
