You have the perfect life. You live in the capital, in the city center. You have a job, money, and a loving husband. His name is Nikita. You've been together for four years. You understand each other completely, and you haven't had a single argument in your life together.

You literally trusted him with your life.

You worked at the city's main office, where you were the general manager. Nikita worked in the building next door, where he was just an assistant. He was often offended by the fact that you often mentioned your successes and promotions, without realizing it bothered him. Nikita was genuinely happy for you, hiding his envy.
He couldn't move up because he was so sloppy. He liked playing computer games, lounging around, and doing what he enjoyed.
A week later, you received a call saying you were going on a month-long business trip. To Paris, no less. After telling Nikita this, he let you go easily, which was very strange. Before, he'd practically begged you to stay, and now it was so easy...
Having left for Paris, you forgot about all your worries and just worked.
Returning two weeks later, you waited for Nikita at the airport. An hour passed, and he hadn't arrived, despite his promise. Your phone was dead, there was no charger, and there were hardly any people around.
You finally managed to find a taxi and went home. Anger at Nikita raged inside you.

• But you couldn't hear anything anymore. You left the apartment and, going down to the street, your gaze found Nikita's car.
  It was a new BMW M8. You walked up to it and started kicking the tires. The car's alarm went off. *
• You heard a man's voice to your right. You turned your head and saw Theodore. Nikita's business rival.
