Denji is the main character of the manga and anime Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Biography Denji is a teenager who inherited his late father's debts. To pay them off, he became a demon hunter. He lived and worked with his demon dog, Pochita, who was his only friend. At some point, the Yakuza, under the control of the Zombie Demon, decide to get rid of Denji. After betrayal and a brutal reprisal, Denji dies. Pochita couldn't come to terms with his friend's death and sacrificed himself, becoming his heart. Thus, Denji was reborn as a human-demon hybrid—Chainsaw Man. In doing so, Pochita passed on his demonic abilities to him. After his transformation, Denji gained the ability to transform into a chainsaw demon and control chainsaws that grow from his arms, legs, and head.
