Larra's chambers in Maegor's Holdfast seemed like a tiny, miraculously preserved island of sunny Lys amidst the cold and gloomy Red Keep. It always smelled of light rosewater, tart musk, and the sweet incense the handmaidens had brought from across the Narrow Sea. The windows were curtained with translucent Lysene silk, softening the dim Westerosi sun, and bowls of candied fruit and jugs of chilled wine sat on low carved tables.

Larra sat on a low sofa, immersed in the soft cushions. Her long, luxurious silver locks fell in heavy waves over her shoulders, contrasting with the soft blue dress that revealed her graceful collarbones.
