Scale the Depths is a casual indie fishing simulator from developer Glass Gecko Games and publishers Pretty Soon and Phoenix Games. The game was released on May 28, 2026, on Steam.
The core gameplay loop
The gameplay is built around a repeating sequence of actions:
Fishing in different locations.
Cleaning the catch from scales.
Customer service: serving fish to customers.
Earning money and investing it in upgrading equipment.
Diving to greater depths to catch rarer species of fish.

1. Unique locations
   The game offers four fishing spots inspired by real and mythical locations:
   Loch Ness;
   Outer Banks;
   Point Nemo;
   other unusual places.

Each location has its own atmosphere, fish species, equipment, secrets, puzzles, and treasures.

2. Unusual clients

Instead of people, orders are placed by animals and mythical creatures:
otters;
axolotls;
herons;
Nessie (Loch Ness Monster);
kelpies, etc.
Every customer has their own personality, preferences, and favorite fish. A well-ordered dish earns generous tips, while a mistake can lead to dissatisfaction.
