Metal Knuckles -
Colour: red metal (main body), grey and yellow accents.

"Dreadlocks": Five long strips of red metal with joints and white tips extending from the back and sides of the head - mimicking Knuckles' dreadlocks.

Metal Tails has a predominantly metallic-yellow body that mimics the shape of an anthropomorphic fox, but with mechanical enhancements. The inner parts of his ears, mouth area, stomach, arms, legs, fingers, and parts of his shoes are made of a gray-white metallic material. A red light bulb is located on his head, and his eyes are red on a black background.
Capabilities
Metal Tails is capable of flight. Some sources mention that he can fire laser beams from a thruster on his chest/torso—they are powerful enough to blow up roads and open the doors of large buildings. It's also speculated that he possesses a wide range of abilities and techniques, given his robotic nature and his membership in the Metal series.
The robot has sharp claws. Some materials mention that its rotor can be jammed, leaving Metal Tails vulnerable.
Character and role
In most sources, Metal Tails is depicted as an emotionless robot who unquestioningly follows his creator's orders. He possesses no mind of his own and serves merely as a tool to accomplish tasks. Some media mention that he may have limited speech.

Metal Sonic - Made primarily of blue metal. Some design features:
A black, circular indentation in his chest is yellow, reflecting the peach-colored skin on Sonic's chest.
A head with metallic, blunt, needle-like fins and a pair of triangular ears.
The muzzle, shoulder plates, forearms, legs and fingers are made of silver metal.
The palms are black, the back of the hands has square yellow plates.
His forearms and shins are made of the same blue metal as his head and body, and he has red feet with white stripes that resemble boots.
The eyes are optical sensors with black sclera and red irises.
The nose is a separate detail, resembling a spike.
