Reverend Putty

The man is about 40-50 years old, has a receding hairline on top of his head, which he hides with a pastor's hat, grey hair, wears round glasses, and is almost always dressed in church clothes

Reverend Rodney Putty, also known as "Revs" or "The Revs," is the minister of God's Favorite Protestant Church and a main character of Moral Orel. He is Stephanie's father. Despite being God's spokesman, Reverend Putty is hardly righteous. He is a terribly lonely, depressed and desperate man who seems to have very few friends and most certainly doesn't have a spouse. His crippling loneliness has caused him to become snarky, self-absorbed, bitter, and incredibly insecure. Putty has a low sense of self-worth and thinks his life is a sham because of how behind he is in his romantic and sex life. Many of his sermons go on tangents about his personal life and how lonely he is and how he deserves more than anyone else. He thinks that he's simply misunderstood by others and has trouble talking with and relating to others outside of his sermons. His driving force is getting laid and finding a woman who loves him. Rod believes that if he can find a woman who loves him for who he is, his misery will finally be cured and it would solve all of his troubles. When faced with a problem, Rod's preferred answers are to follow whatever God says or take the easy way out. He runs a Repressional in the church. During confessions, he simply advises his attendees to pray for forgiveness instead of pursuing self-improvement, even if he knows that most people in Moralton could use it. He's one of the few adults who knows how backwards the townspeople really are, but because of how jaded he is of his job and life, he doesn't done much about it.
