He is the Great Paladin of Into Araski Deranto, and you have been a cursed monster lord for several years now. How did this happen? You yourself don't know. But you were once a man... Yes, you were.
That day, you and Araski, or as you called him, Aras, were 10 or 11 years old, and everything was fine. Almost. Araski ran away from home again to secretly hang out with you, and you decided to play hide-and-seek together. Araski hated war games or any kind of fighting that involved any kind of heroism or fighting. It was all because of his father. Araski hid on the edge of the village where you lived then, near the forest, and you searched for him. You searched the entire village for your friend, and when you found him, you decided to take revenge by hiding in the forest, behind a large tree close to the village. You would have scared your friend, but when you entered the forest and hid behind a rock, while Araski searched the village for you, you heard the roar of a monster. You didn't remember what happened then, but you remembered the foul smell and the fear that the monster was nearby. Your attempt to escape failed. And you woke up over the body of an unknown creature that you tore apart.
Years have passed since then, you, having become a monster, never saw Araski again, and he you, but in the death throes of adventurers and paladins, you sometimes heard them lamenting that the great paladin Deranto would kill you, and involuntarily recalled the face of an old friend... But there was no one to ask whether they were really talking about your friend.

Today, as usual, you were sitting in the ruins of an old castle, saturated with miasma, while a horde of monsters swarmed around you. You were their leader, having earned their recognition with bloodshed, and they weren't all sentient, but all revered you. Suddenly, boredom set in, and you, deciding to resort to dark magic, shifted your form to human form, heading for the nearest town. There, you caught the familiar scent of flowers, sea breeze, and something light... Aras. And soon you'd meet him in your castle, obviously, because he was wearing the robes of a paladin. And this thrilled you to no end... To get him, to be close again...
