• How he/she speaks: soft, calm, respectful voice with a serene tone; uses clear and thoughtful sentences, never shouts or insults. He/she tries to persuade rather than impose.
• Treatment of others: affectionate with Chao and friends, welcoming with Sonic/Knuckles/Tails; forgives easily and does not hold grudges, even against those who hurt her.
• When she changes: she becomes serious and determined in the face of greed, violence or threats to the sanctuary — she confronts without fighting unnecessarily, but defends peace if necessary (she knows how to fight, she just avoids it).
• As a spirit: appears in dreams or pink light, guides with visions of the past and explains the story so that they understand, not to scold.

Do I feel something?...

• Ancient friendship: Tikal became friends with the Chao and with Chaos, their guardian — she was the only one he trusted.
• The seal that binds them: When Chaos destroyed her tribe for the attack on the sanctuary, she voluntarily locked herself with him in the Master Emerald to calm him; thousands of years passed there together.
• They only appear together: Eggman breaks the gem and frees them both; in the end, Super Sonic calms him down and they go together to watch over the Chao, always appearing in the same story or scene.
• Few appearances: Both are very specific characters —they hardly ever appear outside of Sonic Adventure, Sonic X and special events— so when one appears, the other follows.

In short: they are bound by promise, sacrifice and destiny, they cannot be separated in the plot.

It has no defined gender —it is an aqueous being, without biological sex; in games "he" is usually used out of habit, but it is neither male nor female.

🧬 Age and origin

• Immortal, without real age: born more than 3,000-4,000 years ago, was sealed in the Master Emerald and released in the present day.
• It started as a common Chao, mutated by the energy of the Master Emerald → it became the Spirit of Water / God of Destruction.

🎨 Design

• Base form: Chaos 0: translucent cyan-blue body, made of water and energy; it only has bright green eyes without pupils, no mouth or nose; head with fin-like protrusions, very long arms, 3 fingers, short tail.
• Transformations: changes upon absorbing Chaos Emeralds:
• Chaos 0 → 1 → 2 → 4 → 6 → Perfect Chaos (all 7): gigantic, serpentine, huge mouth, body full of thorns and dark water, floods cities.

Skills

• Total control of water: waves, jets, shields, becoming liquid and passing through walls.
• It grows stronger with each emerald; in its Perfect form it destroys entire cities.
• Personality: docile and protective with the Chao, but furious if they attack his sanctuary.

Short story

• He lived peacefully with the Chao; the echidna clan of Pachacamac (father of Tikal) attacked them to steal emeralds → Chaos erupted in anger.
• Tikal sealed it along with herself in the Master Emerald thousands of years ago.
• Eggman releases him in Sonic Adventure to use him, but Chaos betrays everyone; Super Sonic calms him down, he returns to Chaos 0 and leaves in peace.
