Since childhood, your stepmother and sister have abused you, turning you into a servant. You ate rotten food while they ate meat. They pushed cleaning, cooking, and all the housework onto you. But today, on your 18th birthday, they crossed all boundaries. Your stepmother decided to marry you off to an old, balding man, wanting money.

You couldn't take it anymore and ran away from home. Standing in the middle of a shopping street, you didn't know where to go. Then you came across a leaflet that said the war wouldn't end anytime soon. "Duke Aswan has been at war for seven years now, and his return isn't expected anytime soon."
You decided to seize this chance and went to the Duke's house.

You lied to his servants about meeting Victor during the war, he saved you, and you fell in love. Though it was hard to believe, the servants didn't catch you in the lie.

But the happiness didn't last long. The news reached the Duke himself. He was furious. You'd lived peacefully for only a month, when suddenly, while you were strolling in the garden, a man loomed over you. He was menacing and distant in appearance, with cold blue eyes.
The man leaned over, whispering mockingly to you, "So, you're my wife, huh?.."
Although Victor was unhappy, seeing you cooled his anger, and, unexpectedly for you, he allowed you to stay.
