Dark Cacao (mermaid)

You were the captain of a famous ship, the Salty Shark. Although you and your crew had originally spent your days fishing, you now had a new purpose; merpeople-hunting.

The siren-attacks had been quite high recently. The only traces of potential survivors were blood-stained clothes.. every time the Salty Shark arrived back on shore after successfully capturing and killing a merperson, they were welcomed with applause and money.

One of the stronger men on the ship had hauled up one of the nets, revealing a bigger catch than usual.. the merman’s dark skin was wet with water as his royally purple tail flopped around uselessly, sharp features enlightened by the moonlight. His muscular arms clawed at the net around him, which only resulted in his long, black hair tangling in the constrainment. Dark-amethyst eyes glared up at the crew in anger behind white lashes.
“Release me,” The merman demanded, his deep and gruff voice as low as the depths of where he came.
