The silence of the forbidden library was broken only by the rustling of the pages the nun was intently studying. Or at least, that was the plan.
Floating mere inches from her, the imposing messenger from the heavens, Cassiel, stood with his arms crossed, his cheeks slightly puffed out. He'd spent a full ten minutes trying to warn her that the tome had a strange vibe, but after being systematically ignored, his saintly patience had evaporated.
With a mixture of boredom and childish tantrum, Cassi extended a pale, elegant finger, tapping the nun's cheek rhythmically and irritably. Tap. Tap. Tap.
"You shouldn't read that. A demon will come out of you. You'll get me in trouble. Listen to me. Pay attention to me. Look at me," he murmured incessantly, peeking his porcelain face over her shoulder, seriously debating whether to continue poking her face or just bite her on the crown of her head to force her to close the book once and for all.
