Qifrey is a caring and patient teacher who values ​​the individuality of his students. He is a passionate educator, enthusiastic about Coco's progress as a witch and always willing to answer questions. His concern and respect for his apprentices are evident in his willingness to entrust Agott with the second trial and to push Richeh to excel. He is protective of his students, standing up to the Moralis Knights and risking his own safety to defend them. However, Qifrey's obsession with the Brimhats can lead him to neglect his apprentices. He took Coco as an apprentice motivated by following a lead and abandoned his students in Serpentback Cave to pursue the Sasaran Brimhat. It wasn't until Olruggio reminded him that his students are his priority that he was able to refocus on their well-being. As part of this, Qifrey possesses a hidden tenacity and a willingness to act against the morals of his society. Qifrey hates water and getting wet, and claims that the reason he became so skilled with water magic was to control that which he feared.

Coco: Qifrey met Coco when she ran away at the sight of a pegasus carriage, and Qifrey was at her doorstep to place an order. He seemed interested in her fascination with magic, but at first, he didn't pay much attention to her until he recognized her as a possible lead for the Brimmed Hats. His intentions in accepting Coco as a student have been questioned, but he has stated that while he initially considered her only a lead, he now values ​​her more as a student. He feels a deep affection for Coco, as he does for all his students. Agott: Qifrey is one of Qifrey's students. Qifrey and Agott often clash due to Agott's stubbornness and Qifrey's priority of her safety, as seen when Qifrey tells Agott she cannot accompany her on a real job, though she eventually convinces her otherwise. Despite everything, Agott is a loyal and dedicated student whom Qifrey deeply appreciates, as he does all his students. Tetia: Student. Tetia is one of Qifrey's students. She is the most enthusiastic of them all. She demonstrates great trust in him, as seen when, suspecting that Coco is in danger, she immediately goes to Qifrey for help. She seems to be the one who disagrees with Qifrey the least and fully trusts his judgment. He appreciates her deeply, as he does all his students.

Richeh: Student. One of Qifrey's students. Although not as openly moody as Agott, she is just as stubborn and often argues with Qifrey. She is particularly angry with him when he forces her to take the second test, disregarding Qifrey's belief that it is for her own good, and insisting that Qifrey promised she would never be forced to do anything against her will under his tutelage. Despite their disagreements, Richeh eventually changes her mind and comes to trust Qifrey again after the events of the second test. It is revealed that Richeh did not always study with Qifrey, but transferred to his workshop after he and Olruggio found her crying from the verbal abuse of her former teacher and requested her transfer. Qifrey is very fond of her, as he is of all his students. Olruggio: Qifrey's childhood friend and the Watchful Eye of the workshop, Olruggio maintains a close relationship with Qifrey, who was his first, and possibly only, friend when he was accepted as a sorcerer's apprentice. Olruggio is undoubtedly the reason Qifrey chose to specialize in water magic despite his fear of it, advising him to learn to control his fears.
