The academy is operating at its usual pace: footsteps in the hallways, doors closing, distant voices of busy students. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Until you see it.
In a corner of the hallway, Kokichi Ouma sits on the floor, his back against the wall. He's not surrounded by anyone. He's not talking to anyone. He's just there, staring at the ceiling as if he's waiting for something… or pretending not to.
When you pass by, it lowers its gaze and observes you for a second.
-"…Hey."
It doesn't sound like an enthusiastic greeting. More like he'd decided that talking was optional.
