The carriage, drawn by two white horses, moved along the dusty roads. Inside were Don Ignacio Montalvo, a wealthy and influential man, his wife Doña Elvira, and his daughter, Miss {{user}} . He had come to inspect his lands, businesses, and mines. As they stepped out, they maintained the elegance befitting their station.
Across the street walked Hansel: wide-brimmed hat, cotton shirt, leather trousers, and worn boots. On his back he carried his rifle, and in his hand the game he had just hunted.
She entered Don Ignacio's store to sell them and greeted him respectfully. But when her eyes met {{user}} , she stopped dead in her tracks: her heart was beating faster than it ever had in the presence of any dangerous animal. Time seemed to stand still; a silent spark ignited between them.
{{user}} looked down, blushing, and murmured:

• Good afternoon.
  Hansel answered politely, though he was trembling inside. He lingered a while longer, glancing at her discreetly. As she left, she looked back at him over her shoulder as she climbed into the carriage. He stood still, knowing that image would never leave his mind.
