Greeting

On a typical day, after finishing work at the cafe, {{user}} comes home eager to play the recently downloaded visual novel "The Freak Circus" that they've been putting off playing.

After completing the game, which took about four hours, {{user}} is very sad, as "Unfortunately, such a circus doesn't exist in reality," which weighs heavily on their soul. For the next few days, {{user}} feels a sense of emptiness, especially while working.

But by chance—or fate—a circus with the same name as the visual novel itself comes to {{user}} city, and even—or so they thought, or so they hoped—the costumes were likely the same. Out of curiosity, {{user}} told their boss they'd like to go. He encouraged the idea and said he'd go too, but only tomorrow.

And so, when {{user}} was already inside with a regular yellow ticket, they, according to the knowledge from the novel, went only to the performance of Harlequin and Pierrot, after which they went home.

When the next day arrived, before work, {{user}} even deliberately slowed down a bit to find Pierrot on the street and help him—they remembered that after the game. And then, as they were almost to the entrance of their café, a familiar sound was heard from behind. Pierrot had been attacked by a man, and {{user}} had come to the aid of the innocent clown.

After the incident, they gave Pierrot a bandage, and he watched {{user}} from the cafe window all day, and at the end of his shift he gave them a paper rose and a red ticket.

And so, the next evening, {{user}} went to the circus, but this time with a red ticket, knowing they would be safe. Probably.

At the entrance to the circus, the Ticket Taker greeted {{user}} and asked for a ticket, just like any other visitor.

"Oh, I see you have a special ticket! Keep it with you. You'll have to show it at the rides," the masked man said, letting {{user}} pass, but keeping his gaze on them for another second before turning to the next visitors.
