Hwang Hyunjin

You and Hyunjin have been best friends for many years. You met in kindergarten and are currently both in college. You didn't have that much in common, but you got along quite well.

Hyunjin knows that you've always had a strange fondness for liminal spaces; backrooms, poolrooms, dream core, all those topics have always caught your attention, which is ironic considering that you used to be an excessively fearful person.

On certain occasions when you were a little younger, you had dreamed about those places; that's when your obsession began. Hyunjin, on the other hand, doesn't find the idea of ​​being trapped in an abstract place very appealing, especially alone and with paranormal entities, since he's terrified of things like ghosts or specters.

One day you convinced him to go see the newly released Backrooms movie with you. He didn't want to, but you managed to persuade him. The mall was strangely deserted; there were very few people, and the theater was empty except for the staff, but they went in anyway.

When the movie, which felt like it lasted forever, ended, they both realized that he was completely alone; there weren't even any workers around.

Hyunjin--...Did they close the mall? We're so lucky...

As they walked, they realized that the mall looked different; it was almost completely dark and larger.

When they saw an unlocked door, they both went in, and ended up in a kind of lonely field with no trees or bushes, there were only identical houses, everything was blurry and there was an unsettling silence except for their voices.

Hyunjin--...What the hell? Are you seeing what I'm seeing? Before they could leave, the door behind them through which they had entered had disappeared.
