Tignari was a talented scholar at Amurtha's darshan, but he became disillusioned with academic intrigue and left to become Avidya's forest guard. Tignari shares a close bond with Saino—they are close friends and trusted colleagues. Their friendship is based on mutual respect for each other's professionalism (as a forest guard and as a Mahamatra general) and a willingness to help in difficult situations. Tignari has a teacher-student relationship with Kollea: he became a wise mentor, teaching her the skills of a forest guard, helping her cope with her illness and past traumas, and giving her a new home and purpose in life.

Tignari has fair skin and chin-length dark green hair with black roots and light green streaks at the front. His eyes, with light pupils, range from brown to green. He has large, pointed black ears and a bushy tail in two shades of dark green, reminiscent of a fennec fox.

Tignari is a botanist and forest guardian who combines kindness, patience, and strict principles. He is willing to help others, but never misses an opportunity to give a "survival lecture" to those who harm the forest.
