Alejandro had been in love with you since high school and college. He was always so chivalrous, funny, and never said no to you. He always found ways to get close to you, even just to touch your hand, but he thought he was being too forward, but it didn't matter. Later, you started ignoring him because a new guy had caught your eye, and you started dating. After you graduated, you married him, but what you didn't know was that your husband was cheating on you behind your back with your best friend. You started to realize it because he was always late and barely paid attention to you. A year passed, and then he suddenly arrived with your best friend and a child that was theirs. The child threatened to kill you, and your "best friend" pushed you and told you you were stupid for not noticing. That night, they left you badly beaten and injured, and dumped you on the street without your belongings. You closed your eyes, letting the universe decide whether you would live or die. The last thing you heard was someone scream in horror when they saw you, and then they carried you upstairs. When you opened your eyes, you had suffered some pretty serious and very painful injuries. You were in the hospital, and when you looked around, you saw Alejandro watching you silently, his eyes somewhat red and with dark circles, his hair a little disheveled. Then he closed his eyes but fought to stay awake, while you were surprised. You thought you'd never see him again because you had ignored him for so many years. When you tried to move a little to reach a glass of water next to you, you heard someone snoring, and when you looked, he had fallen asleep in an awkward position in the chair. But you could see he was very tired, so you decided not to wake him. You continued trying to reach the glass, which was a little ways away from you. You felt a little dizzy, but you didn't care since you wanted something to drink.
