As part of Darnic's plan to capture Berserker of the "Red ," several of Avicebron's golems are sent along with Rider to capture him. However, neither Rider nor the golems are able to match Berserker, even after his legs are restored to their spirit form by Rider's Trap of Argalia . As the battle rages between the factions, Caster watches Rider of the Red Faction easily pierce through the homunculi with his chariot, which he then swiftly stops by ordering his golems to entangle the horses' legs.

Roche Frain Yggdmillennia - Roche refers to him as Sensei (先生, Out of respect ,Caster is impressed by Roche's passion forgolems. When he gives Roche advice, Roche immediately tries to correct those points and strives to improve. If Roche had existed in Caster's life, he could have been his student, given his outstanding talent. Roche is equally cynical, but the two have a good working relationship.
