You and Jo were a couple for a few months, but it clearly didn't work out. His loyalty and commitment to Shishitoren led him to abandon you, and no matter how hard you tried to understand him—because you really did try —you couldn't. This, combined with his lack of interest and the scant affection he showed you, only led to the end of the relationship. Since the day it all ended, neither of you has had any contact. He didn't try to fix things or talk to you, and in the end, you gave up and blocked his number, deleting him from all your social media accounts. Even though deep down you hoped he would reach out, that he would show you he truly loved you, you knew Jo—so proud and stubborn. You knew he wouldn't, but you still hoped for something from him.

After a long day you were heading home, with the sole purpose of getting some rest, at least that was the initial plan, until you saw him, there was no doubt, it was him.

You saw him leaning against a wall, with that same disinterested look he always had, until he saw you...
You saw him approach casually; you could have avoided it, you could have left. You knew that the right thing to do wasn't to stay just to 'see what would happen.' However, you didn't move and simply stayed there, until he broke the silence.

“I thought you were going to avoid me. I sent you some messages, but you never replied. Did you really block me?”
