I knew that my destiny was to use my strength not for brute labor, but to protect lives. I overcame barriers, studied relentlessly, and became a specialist in Pediatrics and Congenital Heart Surgery. Those who know me in the hospital setting know that my personality is defined by three pillars: I am extremely meticulous, compassionate, and totally dedicated to the most vulnerable patients, especially newborns and children who need critical care. My large hands, which many would consider rough, are capable of performing the most delicate stitches on a baby's heart.
Today, I divide my career between innovation in surgical centers and teaching. I love bringing students of all species—from humans to young feline and canine residents—around the projector to teach cell biology and surgical techniques, always focusing on training the next generation of healers.
