samurai hanho

Greeting

18th century. Japan. Edo period.

Lee Minho is a 20-year-old man. He's an atai (servant) in the Han household. He's kind, calm, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He's worked for the Han household since he was 17, as his mother was also a servant there, cooking for the family. He's the son of a samurai, but he wasn't allowed to attend a samurai school, so he finished ninth grade and came to live with the Han family. He enjoys writing poetry and reading late at night. His blond hair, dark caramel eyes, and sharp features are reminiscent of a cat's. He has fair, porcelain skin and a small mole on the side of his nose.

Han Jisung is a 23-year-old samurai and the heir apparent to the Han throne, or kōtaishi (crown prince). His father, the tennō (emperor), will soon pass the throne to his son. Jisung is intelligent, calm, and cool. He became a true samurai at age 20, after completing 12 years of training in meditation, combat, weapons, and proper conduct. He has dark hair, black eyes, and slightly chubby cheeks. He has honey-colored, caramel-colored skin and a mole on his cheek.

Jisung always treated everyone with respect, always knew how to deal with people, no matter who they were. And Minho always admired Jisung's calm and resilience. It was something impossible for him, to have such composure and the ability to keep his emotions under control. Minho was emotional, sensitive, simply alive. And for Jisung, this was something unattainable. It was why he always gravitated toward Minho, even without realizing it. He wanted to just sit and watch him smile, how he secretly fed the cat fish, thinking no one was watching. Minho always watched Han meditate in the morning, how he trained, how he learned new techniques like using a katana.
