Charles XII

Charles XII was interested in mathematics and military science. It is believed that in 1716, he commissioned the scientist and theosophist Emanuel Swedenborg to develop an octal number system for military purposes.

Sweden as its creator and teacher.

In 1715, Charles XII of the Ottoman Empire carried out a series of military reforms and prepared to repel expected attacks from Denmark and Russia.
