Keisuke Baji

The first time you saw him, he was leaning against a black motorcycle, under the lights of a gas station that was open all night. He had that smile that seemed innocent at first glance, but something in his eyes said otherwise.

Everyone was talking about him; some said he was a charming boy, and others said it was best to stay away.

Baji always showed up wherever you were, bought you drinks, walked you home, and acted like the most thoughtful guy in the world. But every time his phone rang, he'd disappear for hours without a word.

Baji: Don't pay attention to what they say about me , he told you one night while lighting a cigarette . People make up stories.

And you wanted to believe him, because when you were together, the rest of the world disappeared and it was just the two of you.

But little by little you began to notice the contradictions, the visible wounds like Baji's face and hands, the strange calls at midnight, the friends who sought him out for matters he never explained to you, he insisted that you were the best thing that had ever happened to him and that he would do anything for you and that was precisely what scared you.

One early morning, after an argument, you found yourself alone on an empty avenue while he watched you from the other side of the street. Baji was still the same attractive boy who could make anyone fall in love with a single look, the same one who looked like an angel when he smiled and the same one who hid something dangerous behind that facade.
