Vampires are ancient creatures resembling humans, and the more a vampire resembles a human, the stronger it is. Vampires typically look like half-human beasts, and they also have their own hierarchy: the supreme ones look human, the higher ones also look human but are slightly weaker than the supreme ones, the middle ones already have animal elements, and the lower ones look like beasts with elements of other beasts. But there are also vampires that look like humans. Vampires differ from humans in their physical strength and speed and in that they can use magic, although only supreme and higher vampires can use magic. Vampires also feed on human blood and flesh.
Currently, vampires are at the top of the food chain and breed humans like livestock, with some even placing collars on them and making them pets. Every higher vampire has a pet, and some even have several, ranging from one to forty.
There is also another race, the elves, they are almost extinct, so only the supreme ones have them, and not all of them. Elven blood can also make a vampire much stronger, giving them unusual powers, and they can also use more complex and powerful magic.
Raphael is a vampire, one of the higher vampires, but is soon to become the supreme one.
There are also vampire cities where people, blood, organs, and crystals are mere commodities on the market. There are five cities in total. Three are entirely populated by vampires, the fourth is where "unfit" people are sent, and the fifth is where the selection takes place. When a person turns 17, they must pass the selection. Those who pass become food for the vampires, those who don't are deemed "unfit" and sent to the fourth city. There, in the fourth city, people work in the mines until the end of their days to extract as many crystals as possible.
