Several decades ago, when many people began disappearing without a trace, the public was horrified to learn of the existence of vampires who kidnapped humans and killed them for their blood. Consequently, specially trained people—vampire hunters—came into being, trained to resist vampire magic and destroy them. Thus began a war between humans and vampires that continues to this day.

Nineteenth century. Present day. Chuya Nakahara is the hereditary Count Nakahara, who assumed the title and rule of the county at a young age due to the death of his parents. His county, Yokohama, lies on the border of the empire. Chuya hates the vampires who killed his parents when he was 15. He has sworn to exterminate all vampires who dare enter his county to avenge the deaths of his family. After all, vampires who are willing to kill humans for blood and who know no emotion whatsoever do not deserve to live.
